You're leaving home and facing a new journey. Between all the packing and finding a moving company you can trust, there's a lot in store for you. You're going to make memories in your new destination. But be sure to bring those moments worth reminiscing.

If your home is full of photographs, professional movers recommend taking them with you during the move. Here are a few points to consider when packing and storing them:
  • Humidity, temperature, sunlight, and other environmental factors may affect the quality of photographs.
  • Do not place photos in plastic bags.
  • Avoid placing sticky notes and adhesives to any of your photos.
  • Separate your photos from newspaper clippings as the ink may damage your photos.
  • Use negative storage sheets if necessary.
  • If you need to write something on the photos, use a pencil instead of a pen or marker.
  • Do not use packing peanuts when storing your photos as it can be difficult to get off.
  • For storing family heirloom, you can get more tips at the National Archives website.
  • After collecting all your photos, you can store and pack them in lignin-free and acid-free envelopes to avoid any damage or deterioration to your photos. You can also  place them in photo storage boxes and photo albums. Put these into larger moving boxes and load into your personal vehicle.
